The Model Eyebrow tm is Elke's signature brow service that she uses to create the perfect shaped brow on her clients.
Here's Elke's tips and tricks on how you can tweeze and shape yours to get yours 'model' perfect.
1. Starting Point:
The Start of the Brow
Line up a thin ruler or metal spatula along the side of the nose. Hold the line straight up and see where the top of the line hits. Ideally, the line should be between the bone of the nose and the tearduct. On our model's brows, the line hits near the tearduct, so growing the brows closer to the middle is recommended.

2. The End Point:
The End of the Brow
Line up your ruler at the bottom end of the nose, and end towards the outer corner of the eye. This is where the your eyebrow should end. Past this line and eyes can look tired, too short, and brows look cut off.
Tip: This is also where your eye brow shadow should end, as well.

3. The Arch:
Designing The Arch of the Brow
The arch of the brow is usually too far out, as seen in the photo. Once the arch has been tweezed too far on the outside of the eyes, it can make the eyes look cross-eyed actually. Instead, make the arch line up at the outside of the iris of the eye. The arch will be exactly above the eye which is draw people to look at your eyes.

4. Line Up the Top of the Brow:
The Top of the Brow
Once the basic line of the brow has been shaped, check to make sure that the balance of the brows are correct. Line up your ruler along the top of both arches. Is your ruler straight? Then your brows are perfectly aligned. Is one brow higher than the other? You may have to take a few hairs of the top of the highest one to make your brows aligned.

5. Line up the Bottom of the Brow:
The Bottom of the Brow
Once the top of the brows are even, next, check to make sure that the beginning and end of the brows end on the same line. Line up your ruler horizontally at the beginning and at the end of your brow. Is your ruler straight? If not, you may need to take a few hairs off the beginning bottom of the brow to line up the brow correctly.

BROW SHAPING TIPS:

1. If you find yourself breaking out after tweezing your eyebrows, keep it sanitized. Use witch hazel on a cotton ball before and after you tweeze to avoid those little red bumps.

2. Avoid creating a straightness in your eyebrows by not tweezing too much above the eyebrow. By tweezing on top, you can flatten the line, making it very difficult to create a high flowing arch. You get your arch only by tweezing underneath, never on top.

3. If you are getting that pinching ouch when tweezing, do what the pros do. Grab the hair with tweezers and pull the hair with the tips of the tweezer touching the skin as you pull. Pull in the direction that the hair grows, and you'll find tweezing to be virtually painless. Why? It's the pulling up of the skin that hurts, not the hair. By keeping the skin flat, you eliminate much of the sting factor.

4. Ideally, the best shape is the natural line that your eyebrow already is. If your eyebrows are extremely thick, a very thin eyebrow will not work for you. If your eyebrows are thin, trying to maintain a thicker eyebrow will be too much work. Just as in hair texture, work with what you have. Softer facial features enhance a thinner, more elegant eyebrow, while a strong bone structure is the perfect face for a thicker, stronger eyebrow.

5. The secret to model eyebrows, is to never completely wax your eyebrow. Models know that eyebrow looks come and go, and if you wax only, you lose the ability to grow in your eyebrows at a later date should you want to change your look. The best technique is to just wax the hairs that are not needed and tweeze to define the shape of the eyebrow.
