Of all the brow types you’ll come across, you’ll find yourself fixing these 4 types of brow mistakes the most. Understanding what you can and can’t do, and how much you can adjust the brow in each point, can help you create a better brow for your client, and let her understand how much of a correction she can or can’t expect from a brow shaping.
Too Flat, No Arch
FIX:
To create more of an arch, just note that you cannot take a flat, straight eyebrow and make an extreme, high arch. It just won’t happen. But you can create the illusion of an arch by taking a few hairs out underneath the brow at the Arch Point of the eyebrow.
2. Arch Point Fix
Too far out arch.
FIX:
Starting at the arch of the brow underneath, slowly tweeze a hair at a time to move the arch over closer to the nose.
A hair at a time is all that’s needed to move an arch over and sometimes, it only takes 3 hairs removed to be enough of a adjustment.
- 3. End Point Fix
Eyebrow ending too short.
FIX:
The only way to extend a too short End Point is to adjust the line with brow pencil or makeup. More info on that coming up. To get hair growing again, have the client do her Eyebrow Scrub Regimen to get her brows growing again.
- 4. Balance Point Fix
Two different eyebrow shapes.
Fix:
The most common fix you’ll do is to create the same balance or shape between both eyebrows. Eyebrows are supposed to look exactly the same, not different, and the slightest change in the line of both eyebrows can make the eyes look off. So yes, eyebrows should be twins, not sisters. Nobody wants two different eyebrows. Creating an exact same eyebrow shape with both brows makes the bone and eye structure look sharper, stronger, and create a stronger focus to the eye.
